Materials
Straight needles 10mm
10mm cable needle (I personally just use a stitch holder so don’t worry if you don’t have one)
Tapestry needle, to stitch it together.
Let’s Go!
Cast on 12 (12, 14, 16) stitches
Knit in stocking stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) until the piece measures 7.5 (8.5, 9.5, 10.5) inches, ending on a purl row, so you are knitting the following row.
Cable row (this bit creates the twist effect)
Slip the first 6 (6, 7, 8) stitches onto a cable needle and hold that in front of the work while you continue to knit the remaining 6 (6, 7, 8) stitches. Then knit the remaining 6 (6, 7, 8) stitches from the cable needle. Purl the next row.
Continue in stocking stitch until the piece measures 14 (17, 19, 21) inches.
Cast off and sew up the seam.
